he
conceptual basis of utilizing macro-economic aggregates for
understanding the process of economic development and the
statistical procedures of measuring them are neither simple nor well
established. The Journal of Income and Wealth published twice-yearly
is devoted to publishing studies relating to concepts, definitions
and statistical measures of macro-economic aggregates like domestic
product, national income, savings, capital formation and workforce,
at the national, sectoral and regional levels, that reflect the
structure and structural changes of the economy. The Journal
publishes both refereed papers of IARNIW seminars and conferences
and refereed contributions.
A team of distinguished experts in National Incomes and related
subjects edits the Journal of Income and Wealth. Led by Prof B B
Bhattacharya, the President of the Association the other editors are
Dr. A C Kulshreshta, Prof P K Chaubey and Prof Ramkaran Singh. Shri

STYLE FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS FOR PUBLICATION IN THE JOURNAL OF
INCOME AND WEALTH |

General |
| |
Papers may
be submitted only in MS WORD document form. The font
used throughout the paper shall be Times New Roman in
size 12. Abstract of the paper should be given with
indentations at both ends, in italics.
Author(s)'s
name and organization shall appear below the title. The
organisation's name shall be in italics. If there is
more than one author, then their names will appear one
below the other in the order specified in the original
paper. Disclaimers to be attached shall appear at the
end of the paper (before endnotes)
The JEL
classification should be given at the top |

Tables |
| |
Each table
shall be numbered serially starting with 1. Tables shall
be part of the document and should not be given in
separate files. All clarifications and references to
table entries shall be given at the bottom of the table. |

Text boxes
and diagrams |
| |
Each of the
boxes and diagrams shall be numbered serially. While the
boxes will have borders, diagrams shall appear without
borders. Captions, titles of the boxes and diagrams
shall appear at the top. Wrapping of text around the
boxes should be avoided. |

Referencing
within the paper |
| |
Details of
all papers, books, journals etc referred shall be given
at the end of the paper. Within the paper, only the
author's or organisation's name along with the reference
year shall be given in square brackets. For example
reference to a paper by Dr.X published in 1980 may be
referred as [X, 1980, pp--], Report Number 480 of NSSO
published in 2002 may be referred as [NSSO, 2002]. If
there are more than one report in a year they may be
distinguished like 2000a, 2000b etc.
Footnotes,
endnotes, indexes and referencing should not be done
using the built-in features of MS Word.

The
format shall be: Name of author (year of
publication) / name of organisation (year of
publication), title of paper within quotes,
title of publication / journal in italics,
conference or seminar where presented or place
where published, page numbers. If more than one
publication or journal exist in a year the year
may be indicated as 2000a, 2000b etc to
distinguish the issues. References shall be
alphabetically arranged. The edition number of
books shall be specified after the title and
publisher's name.
